This film focuses on the tumultuous events surrounding the numerous meetings of Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. At these “COPs” thousands of stakeholders converge to participate in crafting (or protesting) agreements that are officially intended to prevent catastrophic global climate change. “Climate Deadline” presents analysis and interviews with many of the key players in this real-life drama in which we all have a stake and in which few of us has any say. Film screening was October 9, 2015 at UCSB’s Pollock Theater.

Event sponsors included: Global Environmental Justice Project, UCSB’s Carsey-Wolf Center, and UCSB’s Environmental Humanities Initiative.
